Our Varieties

Today, we are committed to expanding the production of OSU varieties such as Yamhill, McDonald, and Tonda Pacifica, with the goal of becoming a market leader in Europe.

These OSU varieties, the result of over 10 years of research at Oregon State University, have demonstrated stronger disease resistance while offering high yields.
We also continue to produce our traditional varieties, rigorously selected and valued for their authenticity.

Varieties

Tonda Gentile

Famous for being the best hazelnut in the world, this is the flagship variety of the Piedmont region. It is fairly hardy, and the nuts fall early in the season.

Tonda di giffoni

The most widely planted hazelnut variety in the world. Giffoni is highly productive and produces quality nuts. Its main drawback is that the nuts rot quickly after falling to the ground in humid climates.

Yamhill

Originally from Oregon, Yamhill produces a small, industry-grade nut. The yields this variety can reach are impressive. The nuts fall early in the season and are not very prone to rotting.

Tonda pacifica

This new variety produces nuts with a quality comparable to Tonda Gentile, but with significantly higher productivity.

Other varieties, used mainly as pollinators, are available upon request.
